| N.L.A.S. AGRICULTURAL HALL
A PROVINCIAL HERITAGE BUILDING AND THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND IN EASTERN ONTARIO
Built in 1869, the Agricultural Hall is used for family parties,
weddings/receptions, horticultural judging schools, exhibitions,
card games, fund-raising events, pipe band practices etc., as well
as housing all the exhibits at the annual agricultural fair. There
is 6,000 sq.ft. of space, perfect for your event.
In July 2008, the Almonte Fair celebrates 150 years and the North
Lanark Agricultural Society reaches its 133nd milestone.
The first Almonte Fair was held in 1858 on a local farm under the
auspices of "The Township of Ramsay Agricultural Society". The fair
was staged at this farm for 4 years and then was moved to the Village
of Almonte.
